Joining CIVIC

The Caribbean ICT Virtual Community (CIVIC) is a permanent virtual forum of Caribbean ICT stakeholders. It is a venue for sharing information, holding discussions, networking and linking ideas, actors, projects or initiatives o­n ICTs and development in the Caribbean.  It also aims to contribute in the building of a common vision/perspective o­n ICTs, and to promote a Caribbean strategy and/or regional Caribbean-wide actions. The CIVIC is based upon an asynchronic, electronic conferencing platform, the ICAribbean mailing list and its related web tools (currently hosted o­n the Dgroup virtual platform). It is a Caribbean managed and Caribbean owned virtual community
 
To join the CIVIC please:
  1. read the chart and rules of participation as this will help guide you to use this forum effectively and adherence to the rules are a condition of joining.
  2. fill the registration form here 
  3. send a mail to civic-moderator@carisnet.org a short self introduction (5 to 15 lines) indicating especially your activities related to ICTs in the Caribbean or why are you (personally and/or institutionally) interested in it. Please include links and references to share with other members. You will be requested to post this self introduction as your first contribution to the virtual community.
